Drainage systems
Drainage systems serve to drain rainwater or surface water from buildings in a defined manner. They are used below roof vegetation or are installed below ground around structures. There are linear and planar installation variants.
Regulatory framework
Drainage systems are not subject to regulatory requirements under the Building Codes, cf. MVV TB, Part D 2.
Geotextiles for drainage systems are covered by harmonised standard EN 13252. As a Technical Assessment Body, DIBt can issue European Technical Assessments (ETAs) for geotextiles that are not (fully) covered by this standard.
European Technical Assessment (ETA)
To start the ETA procedure, please submit the form below. We will then check if the prerequisites for issuing an ETA are met, i.e., in particular, if the product is not fully covered by an existing harmonised standard. If the prerequisites are met, we will check whether a European Assessment Document (EAD) covering the requested assessment scope already exists or still needs to be developed. If an EAD needs to be developed or amended, a complete technical file needs to be established before the procedure can begin.
